Double layers of Sheetrock, staggered so the seams don’t line up, would be even more effective. Mass stops sound transmission. The more mass, the more sound is stopped.
I would have done a few things differently, but that doesn't mean nothing. I have built houses all over the country 11 states. And seen it done so many different ways some I hope I never see again. 😂

Why the 1/8" gap.
All half inch sheeting says to do that based on code, its actually written on every sheet, but it just doesn't look good lol so myself included almost everyone buts them together.
The gap is there so the sheathing doesn’t bulge out once it expands
this is because the wall is thick only

The non gate keeping energy here is what’s going to drive the next generation. You can learn everything from this UA-cam site. What an absolute legend.
They make structural screws now for joist hangers and other hardware. Technology has come a long way. Obviously production framing you’re gonna use nails. Makes more sense. Structural screws are just as strong. All screws aren’t the same just like nails to hang pictures aren’t the same as framing nails. Nails also will pull loose over time.
